GUAM

... First great postcard coming from this tiny Pacific island... because of its geographic location and being the westernmost US territory, it has adopted the slogan "Where America’s Day Begins".. the island’s main industry is tourism... it is very popular with Japanese and Korean tourists but still a hidden gem to the rest of the world... with some spectacular beaches...

... An island of which I never heard of... but sadly enough due to the latest nuclear tension between the US and North Korea this island could be caught in the middle of this conflict and became world news ب_ب... Thanks a lot Shang-Hong!!【ツ】

Guam with capital Hagatna is located in the western Pacific Ocean.  It is the southernmost and largest island in the Mariana island chain and is also the largest island in Micronesia. The indigenous people of Guam are the Chamorros.

The island is an unincorporated and organized territory of the United States. Guam is listed as one of seventeen Non-Self-Governing Territories by the Special Committee on Decolonization of the United Nations. The US Defense Department owns nearly a third of Guam. It is home to a number of military installations and at least 6,000 servicemen and women.

It is a volcanic island ringed by sandy beaches and steep coastal cliffs. Mountains are mostly located on the southern end, with the northern region of the island sloping into low hills. Deep water channels and a coral table reef are located along much of the coast. The highest point is Mount Lamlam at 1,338 ft. (408 m).
